Composer for Film & Media

About

Zach Lemmon is a Los Angeles based composer working in film, television, video games, and other media types. His music has been recorded in studios all over the world (Abbey Road, Warner Bros, Capital Records, Ocean Way Nashville, Tom Tom Studios Budapest, East West in Hollywood, etc.) and broadcast internationally through films (notably the Warner Bros. film ‘The Gallows’) as well as TV works on all major networks (NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX, BBC, etc.). As a composer, Zach enjoys writing music to tell stories and found a natural fit in writing for the screen.

His journey into music started out learning the guitar, playing popular music of the 1990’s. As his abilities grew, Zach began to look backward in time, studying popular music genres from the 80’s, 70’s, 60’s (Motown being a favorite) down through early jazz, and eventually leading to the great works of western classical music (Copland, Stravinsky, Debussy, and Shostakovich are particular favorites). He uses this understanding of the past as he takes a forward looking approach in his writing, striking a balance between new and familiar to engage his audience, all the while subtly challenging them along the way.

In addition to composing, Zach also works as a music producer, guitarist, music mixer, arranger, and orchestrator.
